Questions regarding particular blocked IPs

EDIT: In the last part, I meant "History function on PeerBlock", not history of PeerBlock. My bad. Thought that might be confusing.

If there is a connection to/from an address that you tell PeerBlock to block then that is what it does.
If your IP address is the source address then it is your computer that is trying to connect to them.
No way for me to know what the connections may be from the information you provided.

Would it be useful to provide examples of specific IPs being blocked?

I suppose the most preferable manner in carrying out this task would be to E-mail you the latest PeerBlock archive (using your E-mail address provided in the support section)?

I would like to know more about why there are so many ips trying to talk to my computer like why, how, do these dudes like all have big underground bunkers filled with zombie computers from which they spy on the whole world? conspiracy stile. :-)

Incoming connections are normal, the internet would not work without them.

For the past few days, I've had PeerBlock running to test out its functionality and I've added a lot of the lists available on this site.
I've been observing the data in the History on PeerBlock, I can see that the program has apparently blocked numerous attempts of connections to "ranges" such as "Beyond The Network America, Inc", "Avid Technology", "Detected AP2P on Amazon EC2 Cloud". PeerBlock also blocked connections to "MPAA" earlier (which made me nervous). My question is, Why is this occuring so frequently?
I have not been running any P2P programs for well over a week now --at all.
I thought it might be a spyware/malware/adware issue, but Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware doesn't pick anything up. Not to mention all of the other various spyware-"prevention" programs I have on my computer. As an extension to my original question, Why, when my computer is idling and has been for an extended period of time, are these IPs consistently attempting connection?
PeerBlock also listed my IP as the source. Does that mean my computer was trying to connect to them, instead of vice versa? I don't understand.
Am I grossly misinterpreting the data presented to me in the history of PeerBlock? Is there something obvious that I simply don't understand? Thank you in advance for your help.
