Windows update is just on part of Windows that connects back to Microsoft.
If you want to block connections to Microsoft then add the Microsoft list as a block list otherwise don't.

Microsoft and Microsoft Corp. are being blocked every 2 seconds by PeerBlock. would that have anything to with update checks, or something else i need to change?
